Hello, thanks for coming by. A hybrid of rock, blues, country, and folk, best describes my music. I'm just as comfortable alone with my acoustic guitar, as I am with a full backing band at a club. I'm an old-school singer/songwriter, with my roots in the radical 1980's independent music scene in Vancouver, Canada. Now I am a one man band, having developed my talents and skills over 30 years of playing live, and studio recording. Once a homeless and troubled youth, my music will always have an element of the street colouring it. I write about real things, finding that good songs just seem to write themselves. I write songs from brash to ballads, and from edgy to easy-listening, covering a breadth of styles. Lyrical tunes on catchy melodies, and driven with steady grooves all add up to a unique, yet recognizable west coast style and sound. In 2009 the internationally distributed Recording Magazine gave my music a "big thumbs up!" and clearly enjoyed the level of "emotion" in my songs. In the summer of 2008, Sun Media Corp - Canada's largest newspaper publisher, nationally reviewed my music, appreciating the "gritty" Stories From Hell. I have always created lyrical folkrock, and when I released my first recordings back in the 1990's with the CD 'The Sun Always Rises', the Vancouver music press wrote of as being "rich in lyrical imagery" the Vancouver Sun , with "a power of their own" the WestEnder , and "Perfect pop hooks with a folk flavour" the Vancouver Courier.
