Bookings managers, or anyone otherwise interested, I also have a vast repertoire of contemporary and classic pop rock songs which I perform as a solo, soft rock artist at various venues. You can download a copy of my 'Covers Medley' mp3 here: featuring Red Red Wine (a 1960's, and again in the 1980's hit), Use Somebody (a contemporary hit), and Peggy Sue (a hit from the 1950's).
I am a musical busker. I am no stranger to busking on Granville Street, on Granville Island, at Fraser Valley Farmer's Markets, or at various cafes and clubs throughout Metro Vancouver. You can support me by buying an mp3 of one of my songs. You'll find mp3s at itunes, amazon.com or cdbaby among others. Check your music download site for Drew Barnes.

This is my story,

I'm a singer/songwriter of folkrock pop songs, which have been described as being:

"rich in lyrical imagery" (the Vancouver Sun)
"perfect pop hooks" (the Vancouver Courier)
"Jim Morrison vibe" (Recording Magazine)
"gritty" (Sun Media), and more.

Sometimes my songs are soft, sometimes they're hard, sometimes they're smooth, sometimes they're edgy. I have many moods, and my songs reflect those moods.

Music took hold of my soul at an early age, and I've been playing since the early era of indie music; the radical 1980's. Since that time I have continued to play clubs, pubs, coffee houses, and many other venues both in bands, and as a solo performer.

More reviews include:

INDIE CAFE REVERBNATION "one of the best indie artists out there."
RECORDING MAGAZINE "emotion"
THE WESTENDER "a power of their own."
THE VANCOUVER COURIER "perfect pop hooks."

I invite you to have a listen to a track at itunes, amazon.com or cdbaby , and if you like it, please buy an mp3 download to enjoy.

Thank you,

drew
